About MeLooking at the pictures on the left, it is not hard to guess where I spend my time, when not Selling Real Estate. I used to actively show horses and compete in 3 Day Eventing; I still ride today and live on a 40 acre horse farm ( Turkeypen Farm ) outside of Blue Ridge with my wife, 3 horses, 3 dogs and several barn cats.
After moving from Germany to the US about 20 years ago, I worked at a large Computer Company (NCR) in various Domestic and International assignments, climbing the Corporate Ladder. Once my wife and I discovered Blue Ridge and bought 40 acres here, we started working on our "Transition Plan" . We put this plan in place in 2004 by moving to Blue Ridge. That's when Real Estate caught my eye and I decided to make it my second career. I have not regreted this decision for a moment, although last year the market conditions were very challenging.
I quickly learned about our Community and got involved in several assocoations ( Builder Association, Chamber of Commerce and a local Horse Club ). My professional business back ground and these new ties to the local community helped me tremandously in my new career and made me a member of "The Million Dollar Sales Club" each year so far. In 2009 I received training in environment friendly building and technologies resulting in one of the first "Green" designations as a realtor in our area.
